In the final scene of 𝗥𝗮𝘁 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴, Rat King finally surrenders to his true nature, transforming into a rat like a werewolf under a full moon, before ultimately betraying his loyal apprentice.

Fun fact 🪄 every character in Rat King is symbolically tied to an animal. Rat King, the rat. Laila, the cat. Leon, the bird. River, the fox. In this climactic moment, as River walks toward his fate, a real fox wandered into frame and slipped through a doorway at the exact same time he did. Not planned. Just magic on camera.

We’re thrilled to announce that Rat King has been selected as a semi-finalist at the BAFTA-qualifying Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival, as part of their Vortex program - a curated showcase celebrating Horror, Sci-Fi, and Fantasy storytelling. 🌀🌗
